Milly galloped upstairs for the last time. She had been waiting for this day. She skipped into her bedroom and sat down on the floor. Milly pulled out her brand new diary, My Ultimate Adventure, she wrote on the first page. Now she was ready. Seven hours later Milly and her family climbed out of the car. The truck had beaten them there and the workers were already pulling out their things and moving them into the brand new house. Milly was so excited! A new start, new school, new house, new friends. This is her story, and it has only just begun.
It had felt like an exhausting, never ending walk for them. And then 'as they turned the corner' they saw it. The very beginning of a new life. Yes there they were. The people turned quickly around at the sound of their footsteps. After being hungry and tired for six days it was finally over. They walked over to them and introduced themselves as Sally and Jim. Sally was her age, 14. And Jim was the same age as her mum. These people are their new family. And together they will happily live here on this beautifully, peaceful island, far away from all other humans.
It was beautiful, majestic. The strong, powerful white horse looked like it had just jumped out of a picture book. Carefully, I swung my leg high up over the huge creature and lowered my body down onto the creaky old, leather saddle. As soon as the horse felt my body weight it galloped wildly through the green meadow with fright. I felt myself hold on for dear life.
I was coming home and ‘then when I looked out the plane window’ I spotted something most peculiar. So I researched in the library. I found out that this peculiar thing, with long, wide wings and whiskers was a Talking Catbird.
There weren’t many left of this amazing creature, so I talked to the scientist and together we decided to do something. We traveled to find the Catbird. When we were face to face with the animal it told us why it was becoming extinct and how we could save it. So we asked the owner of the land to plant more resources for this unusual animal to survive. A brick couch with a cat perched on top. It was mysterious, I ran home to tell my neighbour." Rumour has it that a witch put a spell on it so that only she can enter the magical world beyond it. If you want to go there you have to creep into her house and steal the key. She lives at 91 Crow St.", said Milly. So at midnight the girls crept into her house and stole the key as the witch was dead. The cats eye was the keyhole. They now go to the magical world whenever they want.
"Mum, I want to go to the markets!" Milly said rudley.
"Sure darling." Milly and her mum went to watch the old strange magician do his tricks. At the end of his show the old man came up to Milly. Curious she asked him what he wanted. He replied "I want you to eat this delicious lolly. It will make you smart." Milly peeled the wrapper off and ate the lolly. As she sucked, she said ' ahhhhhhh! But it said 'Sweet' on the wrapper Milly cried. After five days Milly behaviour had changed. She is now the sweetest little girl you'll ever meet. |
